Comparison
MatFlow vs TeamUp
TeamUp is a generic fitness class booking platform. It does the basics well: schedules, bookings, payments, attendance. MatFlow does all of that and adds the parts a BJJ academy actually needs, like belt tracking, training logs, and a community feed.

Pricing
MatFlow is free for small academies. Larger gyms pay a flat monthly fee that scales with active members. Students never pay.
TeamUp starts around $59 per month for small gyms and grows from there based on active members. It is a fair price for what it does, but you will still pay monthly even if your students never engage.
Who it is for
MatFlow is for BJJ academies that want both the back office and the student experience in one product. The community feed, the training log, and the belt bar are not extras, they are why students open the app every day.
TeamUp is for any fitness studio that needs class booking and recurring payments and does not care about the sport-specific experience. It works for yoga studios, spin classes, and bootcamps. It is not opinionated about jiu jitsu.
The biggest difference
TeamUp is a generic booking engine. MatFlow is a jiu jitsu platform. If your gym only needs to take payments and run a calendar, TeamUp will do the job. If your gym wants its students engaged, ranked, and tracked the way a BJJ academy actually operates, you need software that knows what a stripe is.
